Notes on litter - Clay can create a lot of dust and might aggravate your allergies, and it's not environmentally sound. Of the non-clay litters I've tried, the corn-based Smart Litter works best. It clumps like clay and is easy to scoop. The pine stuff doesn't work well; I end up throwing away most of the litter every time I scoop it. The Swheat Scoop is better than the pine, but I found that it tends to become concrete at the bottom of the box. Unfortunately, the Smart Litter is more expensive than the other stuff, but for the amount of aggravation the other stuff causes, it's worth it to me.
