I have hereby finished grad school applications. The amount of money I've spent includes $566 for GRE tests and extra score reports, $545 for application fees, and $175 for miscellaneous expenses such as transcripts, envelopes, stamps, and the Berkeley Letter Service. Luckily, at least some of this is covered by grant money I have left over.
In other news, I am finally footloose and cast-free, after 6 weeks of hobbling around. I need to just walk around for a few weeks, though, to make sure my foot is really healed before I can dance again. And I'll probably have to invest in some dance sneakers and some heavy padding for my competition shoes.

btw, what do you think of the letter service? I was thinking of using it to take the load off my recommenders... do you know what schools and what recommenders think of such services?
